Andrea Mitchell
Andrea Mitchell is a Washington D.C.-based American TV journalist, anchor and anchor and. Mitchell graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree from the department of English literature. In the year 1967, Mitchell became a reporter for KYW Radio and TV in Philadelphia. In 1976, Mitchell became a reporter for WDVM-TV Washington DC, a CBS-affiliated station (then WTOP). The following year, she was a general reporter for NBC News in Washington. From 1981 onwards, she began reporting on the White House. In 1988 she was named the chief reporter for Congress. Mitchell became the chief White House reporter in 1992 as well as the chief Foreign Affairs correspondent at NBC News. Mitchell is a former panelist as well as presenter of the TV program Meet the Press. Mitchell participated on a panel during the debates in 1988 between George Bush & Michael Dukakis. Mitchell got married to Alan Greenspan the former chairman of the Federal Reserve Board. In 2005, Mitchell was awarded the highly coveted Goldsmith Career Award for Excellence in Journalism from the John F. Kennedy School of Government and in 2004 she was awarded the Radio-Television News Directors Association (RTNDA) awarded Mitchell by awarding her the Leonard Zeidenberg Award in recognition of her contribution to the protection for First Amendment Freedoms. Mitchell was a reporter at the White House first for NBC News between 1981 and 1988 between the terms of Ronald Reagan's second term as president. She has covered several notable reports over time, including the tax reforms, budget reforms as well as the Iran Contra saga. She traveled frequently along with Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev to world summits.
